Derived from jojoba seeds, this ingredient is technically a liquid wax. In skincare it is used as an emollient, contributing to glide and a soft, smooth skin feel.
Tocopherol is a form of vitamin E used in cosmetics as an antioxidant and skin-conditioning ingredient. Antioxidants can help limit oxidation within a formula; that does not establish a finished product’s performance on skin.
The application gesture
Keep the application simple and the touch gentle. The product label is the guide for where to apply and which precautions to follow.
With clean hands, dispense the oil into your palm. Keep the dropper opening clear of the face and other surfaces.
Gently smooth over the face, avoiding the eye area. Let a light touch guide the gesture rather than rubbing or pulling at the skin.
Allow the oil to settle and close the bottle after use. Follow each product’s own directions when choosing what comes before or after.
